At The House Clinics, our team of chiropractors can treat many painful and debilitating conditions. Your chiropractor will examine you to diagnose the underlying cause of your pain and recommend treatment options to bring immediate relief, improve your body's ability to heal, and prevent your condition from recurring.
As well as the overall benefits of supporting optimal spinal alignment and improved joint and muscle function, chiropractic treatment is also proven to:
During your first visit to our clinic, our chiropractors aim to relieve your immediate pain and symptoms, but ultimately, they want to resolve the root cause of your pain for a long-lasting recovery.
The first step is a consultation and examination, referring to your medical history. A diagnosis and treatment plan is then determined. Your chiropractor will discuss the most appropriate and effective treatment method with you based on your specific condition.
You will not need to undress for most treatments, although we may ask you to wear a gown in some circumstances. We recommend wearing loose and comfortable clothing.
Our experienced Chiropractors use highly specialised techniques (known as chiropractic adjustments) to free the spinal joints, treat pain, and improve mobility. This usually involves gentle, hands-on manipulation of the spine to release the affected joints that are not moving correctly, as well as hands-on soft tissue therapy.
Chiropractic can also involve other methods of treatment, including ice and heat treatment, dry needling (acupuncture), ultrasound, as well as giving posture and lifestyle advice, and prescribing an exercise programme to prevent your condition from returning in the future.
Dr. Jonathan Cook is registered with the General Chiropractic Council (GCC). He is also a member of The British Chiropractic Association (BCA) and The Royal College of Chiropractors (RCC). You will therefore be receiving the best treatment from a highly qualified and experienced Chiropractor.
