Francesca was born and raised in South Africa before moving abroad to study physiotherapy, where she graduated with first-class honours. Following her degree, she completed a postgraduate internship in Portugal, gaining valuable experience in both hospital and private practice settings. She also contributed her skills at national and European sporting events, working with athletes at the highest level.
Her passion for physiotherapy is fuelled by a lifelong love of movement, sport, and helping others. Francesca creates individualised treatment plans for every patient, focusing on promoting healing, restoring mobility, and improving overall quality of life. She combines her deep knowledge of the human body with advanced physiotherapy techniques to achieve the best possible outcomes for her patients. Francesca also values a holistic approach to treatment. Having grown up using natural methods wherever possible, she has a strong interest in the flow of energy and how it influences health and wellbeing. She aims to bring this balance into her physiotherapy practice, supporting patients not only physically but also in feeling restored and energised.
She enjoys working in both the City Centre and Redland clinics, where she sees a wide variety of patients and thrives on the new challenges each case brings. Francesca is passionate about creating a fun, relaxed, and supportive environment in therapy sessions. She believes it’s important for patients to feel they have time within their busy schedules to prioritise their health and wellbeing. She finds it deeply rewarding to see her patients make progress, regain confidence in their movement, and feel their best.
Outside the Clinic
Francesca has always been passionate about sport, having played hockey from a young age — a sport she still enjoys playing in Bristol today. She also competed in horse riding for 10 years, which sparked her lifelong love of animals. She also plays golf and padel and enjoys relating to patients with a shared interest in the game.
She’s also a keen gym-goer, enjoys using the sauna for recovery, and loves meeting new people and spending time with friends. Francesca enjoys trying new foods, exploring different countries, and is a fan of good coffee. A South African at heart, her favourite drink is brandy and coke, best enjoyed alongside traditional biltong.
