Having been a keen sportsman Jonathan has  also worked in professional rugby Bristol RUFC, Bath RUFC and football Bristol Rovers FC, hence developed an interest in sports injuries, specifically shoulders knees and ankles.

Jonathan’s speciality is the spine low back pain / leg pain which he treats using a specialised couch he designed to treat slipped discs. The couch use a multidirectional traction to decompress and remove the adhesions on the trapped nerves.

Jonathan also treats BPPV a balance disorder through a specific inner ear stimulation technique and a proprioceptive exercise programme.

Neck pain and Whiplash injury is Jonathan research interest and is considered an expert in the field.

Jonathan Cook FCC DC

Jonathan was born in Plymouth educated at St Boniface College always had a passion for medicine and graduated from Anglo-European College of Chiropractic 1984. He worked in London and moved to Bristol 1987 established The House Clinics in 1987 with a dream to create a team of professionals under one roof specialising in the treatment of all types of physical pain. This became a reality and The House Clinics is now one of the largest multidisciplinary clinics in the South West.

Jonathan has lectured extensively throughout the UK to insurance companies, the legal profession, physiotherapists, chiropractors and the medical professions .

He also runs a Medicolegal Practice acting as an independent expert witness in medical negligence cases and personal injury claims.

Jonathan is Chairman of Corpore a national rehabilitation company provided rehabilitation treatment to the insurance industry and occupational health to large cooperates.

Jonathan is: –

The fellowship was obtained for the research he did working with Bristol University Orthopaedic Dept. publishing papers on Efficacy of Chiropractic in Treatment of Whiplash Injury.

Jonathan is passionate about providing high quality multidisciplinary treatment and continues to practice despite commitments as he enjoys providing the face to face care for patients.

Charity work Jonathan founded the BristolDown Syndrome Trust based in Westbury on Trym following the birthday of his son Oliver with Down Syndrome A charity that works to provide Speech  and Language Therapy and NumberTherapy (Numicon )for Down Syndrome children in Bristol and the South WestHe has run 15 half marathons open Bristol for the charity dressed as Shrek raising funds

Jonathan is an ex rugby player and rugby coach and remains a passionate England supporter.  He enjoys competitive squash and tennis and what can loosely be described as running.

To relax he enjoys yoga and practices mindfulness.

Dining and fine wine also feature as a keen interest continuing the arduous journey to discover a country that makes better wine than France and the Burgundy region.
